Pink Ribbon Day Monday Oct 09
The staff at Bugs for Bugs organised a special 'smoko' to raise a donation for 'Pink Ribbon Day'. Every year this event helps to raise awareness and supports research into a cure for breast cancer. Each person brought something special (and pink) for morning tea and made a donation to this worthy cause.

Bugs for Bugs staff enjoy a 'big' cup of tea
Australia's biggest cup of tea - May 09
Each year staff at Bugs for Bugs make sure they attend 'Australia's Biggest Cup of Tea' in aid of cancer research.
This year the event was held at the Mundubbera Anglican Church. The spread of home-made cakes and biscuits was fantastic and a real tribute to the ladies who put so much work into preparing it.
Our staff wish to dedicate the day to Thelma Dean, a very popular staff member who died from cancer several years ago.

Bugs for Bugs receives an award on the night
Queensland Innovation Showcase - April 09
Bugs for Bugs was one of only 24 companies invited to be part of the Queensland Innovation Showcase event held at the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane. The exhibition was arranged to feature Queensland companies which had displayed a strong commitment to innovation and who had received support from Australian Government innovation programs administered by Innovation Australia and AusIndustry.
Representing Bugs for Bugs on the night were Dan Papacek (Entomologist/Director), Louise McCormack (BSc(Entomology)/LLB) and Alberto Guanilo (visiting entomologist and acarologist from Peru).
Our display of beneficial insects and mites received a lot of interest on the night and many probing questions were handled by our expert panel.

Movember - November 08
Several of our male staff have worked hard to raise money for the 'Movember Foundation'. As you can see from the images below they took to the challenge with gusto. The hirsute look is 'in'.
Not to be outdone:
Always keen to do better than the fellas - our ladies also managed some fine moustaches for Movember!
